What We Stand For
Our goal is to bring forth the best of every person we work with in mind and body. We believe that as humans we are capable of accomplishing incredible feats if we can only step past the limits we create in our minds. We are here to help each and every client reach their own "rare air" goals by optimizing fitness and nutrition while helping overcome psychological barriers.
Shawn is a nerd-in-disguise who fell in love with fitness and health early in his life and never looked back. He is the founder and head coach of Rare Air Fitness and strongly believes that we all have the capacity to do incredibly great things if we would only make the choice every day to live a life examined and daily pursue what lies beyond our comfort zones.
An avid triathlete, Shawn loves helping his clients to look, feel and perform better through exercise and nutrition.

About the Name
Admittedly Rare Air Fitness it is not the most traditional name out there, no denying that. Credit goes to my friend, Ed for inspiring the name.
We were deep in the throes of preparing for our first Ironman experiences in 2012. One day, after a long training session our conversation turned to the finish line and how just crossing that line puts us in a small percentage of the world to accomplish such a feat. We would be breathing rare air, so to speak, much like the small few to have successfully climbed Mount Everest.
Those two words stuck in my head throughout the whole process of preparing for that Ironman. Later it became the springboard for this company. Rare Air, to me means so many things: striving for your absolute best, finding and pushing past the limits you have in your mind, and making a choice every single day to pursue excellence.
It is what embodies the drive of this company.
It is my sincerest hope that I can help each and every person that comes to Rare Air Fitness strive to achieve their absolute best, whether that means losing some inches off the waistline or achieving a physical goal. We each have our rare air to chase…
